This is less of a post and more of a quick idea I wanted to vent. I wonder what it would be like to have a social networking platform in plain text format without any particular UX design or hidden user retention features.
This whole social media incentives thing is super interesting. We really need to take a closer look at how we're rewarding people, both online and in the real world. Honestly, the online world just shows us the mess we've got going on offline. IMO, the suggested UX and reward structure could help, but I'm not sure if it can compete with the current platforms we have.
